Dear Friends,
I’m sure you have all heard the phrase “Fake it until you make it“.
It is based on the idea that imitating confidence will gradually generate success. Even if it might initially feel forced, the initial successful results will create real confidence and eventually more success, igniting what’s known as the “positive feedback loop“.
This technique is often even recommended in therapy sessions to combat depression by going through the routines of life as if one were enjoying them and continue doing this until a sense of joy and fulfillment is truly experienced.
On the video below I talk about this technique in more details.
So what are you waiting for? Start acting as if you already are who you want to be, as if you already have what you want to have and as if you’re already doing what you want to do.
If it feels uncomfortable, do it on your own first. Persist until you feel confident in front of others. There’s no need to over stretch yourself, start small and grow gradually.
And remember, as Shakespeare once said “All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players”.
See you in another reality,
Burt
