Past Life Regression therapy is one’s journey, through meditation, into the distant past into a life they lived centuries or even decades ago. Some undergo hypnosis for past life regression as a type of therapy.
Past Life Therapy
Therapists find this type of hypnosis very helpful in finding root causes of the patient’s problems, thus making it much easier to help the patient with their problems. Skeptics on this matter say that the recalled memories can be false memories suggested by the therapist. New Age therapists use past life regression (PLR) therapy under the guise of personal growth.
The Bloxham Tapes include more than 400 recordings of a past life therapy session made by Welsh therapist Arnall Bloxham. Patient, Jane Evans, is the most notable from these recordings. A 30 year old housewife, when BBC viewers saw the tapes they were astonished. Her lives were widely varied and greatly detailed.
Her earliest recalled life was as Liviona, wife of Titus. She was the tutor to one of the Roman Governor sons, Constantius, in York in the third century. Next, Jane recalled that her name was
Rebecca in 1189 and wife of a wealthy moneylender. In 1450 she was Alison, Egyptian servant to a wealthy French merchant in Bourges. Later, in the 16th century, she was Anna – lady in waiting to Catherine of Aragon. In 1702, Jane was a London sewing girl named Ann Tasker. In the 20th century, Jane found herself as Catholic nun, Sister Grace, living in Des Moines, Iowa. Most of us repeat cycles of behavior, this includes past lives. These cycles may include quirks, fears, struggles, choices, hopes and dreams. This makes us more readily understand ourselves and the changes we need to make. In many cases, the health issues we have in this life have roots based in our past lives which extend into future lives. In one study, a female with a migraine problem found that during a past life regression that her village had been attacked and she was assaulted in the head by a man. During hypnosis, the therapist helped the woman change the scene to something that would help her heal that was more acceptable.

How YOU Can Recall Past Lives
If you are interested in past life regression, all you have to do is consider your fears and interests. Your fears can represent bad experiences from past lives, and your interests could represent positive experiences from past lives. For instance, if there are certain types of movies or books you have enjoyed since you were a small child, then perhaps you were once in a similar situation and setting as the characters in those stories.
Meditation and aromatherapy really help with past life regression. Sit down, relax, and take some deep breaths. Breathe through your stomach. Light some aromatherapy candles or incense such as vanilla, cherry blossoms, myrrh, frankincense, dragon’s blood, juniper, or pine. Repeat to yourself “I am recalling a time in the past when I have walked on earth in another form.” If any images, words, or thoughts come to mind, don’t ignore them or fight them, no matter how irrelevant they may seem. You might also find that listening to past life regression CDs can be helpful during your meditation sessions.
Once you are finished, write down everything you remember and see if it makes any sense to you. Don’t worry if it doesn’t – it will in time as you continue meditating. Soon, you will be able to connect dots and remember your past.
