How to Relax: The Quantum of Relaxation

Stress is more than a feeling

Who hasn’t felt “stressed-out’” and longed for just a “moment’s peace” to just be able to put our feet up and relax?

Close your eyes for a moment.  Imagine a time when you felt completely stressed-out or uptight.  It doesn’t have to be a bad memory – even happy events (say your wedding day) can cause stress.  Now, stay there for just a bit – take a minute to remember how your body felt at the time.  Muscles tight?  Stomach queasy?   Temples pounding?  Heart racing?

how to relax

Now bring to mind a time when you felt serene, relaxed, peaceful.  The memory doesn’t have to be anything particularly special.  Sitting on a park bench enjoying the sun on your face and the sound of children at play can be just as (even more) relaxing than a dream vacation.  Again, take a moment to note how your body feels when you are relaxed.

It is most likely more difficult to describe how your body feels when in a relaxed state than when stressed.  As a matter-of-fact, when we feel relaxed it is due the absence of feeling stressed.  Our muscles are no longer tight, our heart rate is normal.  In other words, in a relaxed state we do not experience the physical effects stress has on our bodies.

Why we can’t run away from stress

So, it makes sense to say that when we are in a state of stress it is more noticeable to us than when we are in a relaxed state.  Considering the negative reputation of stress it may be surprising to some that, in many respects, we can thank our body’s response to stress for helping us to survive.  Throughout history the body’s response to stress – in particular the release of certain chemicals – fueled our ability to “stand and fight” or “take flight”.  In other words, to fight off a threat that stressed us, or to run away from a threat that stressed us.

However, there is a major difference between experiencing a stress that we can make a decision to stand and fight or run away from and from the type of stress that most of us experience in today’s high-tech, speed-of-light world.

Many times we don’t have the luxury of choosing between “fight or flight”.  If you’re stressed-out because you have a deadline at work you can’t just run away – not if you want to keep your job.  And picking a fight with your boss probably isn’t the best idea either.  If the nature of your job is to be stressed by multiple deadlines that you don’t control – well, no wonder your shoulders are up around your ears and your head is pounding.

Because we are consistently subject to life stressors, it makes sense to learn how to manage stress.  Managing stress is important – and not only because we “feel” better subjectively.  Stress can have an extremely negative impact on physical health.  For instance, the chemicals our bodies produce when we are experiencing stress on a long-term basis can cause inflammation – which impedes the ability of our immune system to function optimally.  This can mean not being able to fight off that cold – or worse.

There are many effective methods for stress management.  These methods include:  progressive muscle relaxation, meditation, deep breathing, and exercise.  Meditation, while relatively new in Western societies, has been studied by the medical community and found to be an effective means to manage stress.  Yoga has also been found to be an excellent means to manage stress – as is exercise in general.  Simply taking a 10 minute walk can significantly reduce stress.  We can also use our senses to manage our stress.  Aromatherapy, for instance, uses different scents to enhance relaxation.

How to relax – coping with and managing stress

However, some people not only can achieve higher levels of stress reduction when using these and similar techniques than others – some people are able to simply cope with stress in general better than others.

Psychologists have a few theories as to why some people seem to be better able to manage stress than others.  Personality is often cited as a determining factor.  Those with personalities that are more “sensitive” are often predisposed to experience higher levels of stress.  How someone is raised can also impact the ability to manage stress.  For example, people who are raised by parents who nurture a sense of self-confidence and self-esteem in their children are often better able to cope with stress.

These theories as to the psychology of how stress is perceived point to an interesting factor when it comes to managing stress:

However different a state of stress seems from a state of relaxation, they do have a very significant shared characteristic:  both are affected by our state of mind (personality) and by the way we feel about ourselves and our world (self-confidence and self-esteem).

But not everyone has a personality that is “stress resistant”.  Not everyone was raised with high levels of self-confidence and self-esteem.  Not to mention that there are varying degrees of how sensitive individuals are to stress – some more, some less.  Some people are extremely self-confident and hold themselves in high esteem, while others are less so.

The quantum of relaxation

how to relax

Quantum Jumping techniques can provide unique and powerful assistance when it comes to managing stress.  Central to Quantum Jumping is the science of physics.  The science of quantum physics describes the amazing capability for particles to exist in different places at the same time.  What is even more profound is that, because particles exist in different places at the same time, parallel universes are created whenever the possibility of more than one outcome is present.

Human beings are made up of particles, and certainly our everyday lives consistently present the possibility of more than one outcome.  This means that, for every person raised by less-than nurturing parents, there is a “twin” or “doppelganger” in an alternate universe that was raised to feel a high level of self-confidence.  For every person with a stress-sensitive personality, there is a twin in a parallel universe who has a stress resistant personality.

Quantum Jumping techniques allow us to learn from our alternate universe doppelgangers in unique ways.  Learning how to access our doppelgangers can significantly assist us when it comes to stress management and reduction.

Alternate Reality: How Quantum Physics Can Get You There

“Reality, what a concept.” – George Carlin

Today there is a lot of interest in alternate realities.  But first, what exactly is reality?  The obvious answer is that reality is that which is “real”, but this definition only forces one to then define “that which is real” – and, if human history is any indication, this is much easier said than done.

alternate reality

Philosophers have been arguing the “nature” (definition and/or description) of reality for ages.  Western philosophers have embraced many views and definitions of reality.  However, three schools of philosophy provide a fair measure of the main distinctions western philosophy makes when attempting to define and describe reality.

Solipsism – I think therefore I am

Most people know who Plato was – even if that knowledge is limited to knowing he was a philosopher who lived in the time of ancient Greece, most of us know that his philosophical views influence our thinking to this day.  Of course, this would include Plato’s ideas on the nature of reality.  Plato actually built his view of reality around the ideas of a philosopher named Gorgias whose idea of reality was based on is view that a person can only be sure of one thing – and that one thing is the fact that they exist.

Other philosophers expounded on Gorgias’ view of reality, including a philosopher named Descartes who is famous for his statement, “I think, therefore I am.”  This statement represents the most important aspect of a solipsistic description of reality, anything outside the mind (such as the world we live in) cannot be proved to exist because reality is completely subjective.  In other words, what one person perceives as real (also referred to as “true”) is not necessarily true for another person.

Determinism – My reality is determine for me

Determinists understand reality to be determined by a continuum of previous events.  In other words, reality is determined for us – be it our present or future reality.  This includes everything we think (our intellect) and everything we do (our behavior).  Of course there is little agreement as to “what” it is that determines our reality.  For instance, theological determinism declares that a god or gods determines reality while environmental determinism states that it is our physical environment (geography, climate) which predetermines reality.

Positivism – The reality of science

Positivists view the only valid reality (or “truth”) is that which can be proved using the scientific method.  Rather than being subjective (or held in the mind), what is “real” are only those theories created in the mind that can be recreated and observed in the external world.  Of course, it is positivism that is embraced by the vast majority of scientists – or is it?

“Quantum” Reality

alternate reality

Scientists rely on numbers to describe or narrate the results of their experiments. These experiments are designed according to strict adherence to scientific method, meaning that theories are proved with evidence found in the “real” world.

Most often, scientists must include in their proofs not only observable evidence from the “natural (external) world”, but also mathematical evidence.  And this is where it gets interesting – especially when the scientific theory comes from within the scientific discipline of physics – because some theoretical physics can be proved only using mathematics.

In his book, The Grand Design, eminent physicist Stephen Hawking suggests that physicists who have worked to discover the laws of the universe have discovered that there is perhaps “no single mathematical model or theory that can describe every aspect of the universe.”  Hawking suggests that it is a “network” of models and that our ideas as to what constitutes “reality” changes when these new theories within physics that cannot be proven in the observable world are proven mathematically.

One can interpret Hawking’s position as supporting the position that each mathematical model designed to describe the nature of physics in effect creates an alternate reality.  In particular, quantum physicists have a mathematically proven model for the existence of parallel universes.  This model provides not “just one” alternate reality – but an infinite number of alternate realities.

Physics is the study of the ways matter, energy, force, and motion interact with each other – often called the “laws” of physics.  The mathematics of quantum physics appears to prove that solipsism, determinism, and positivism are all correct definitions of reality because they would all exist as alternate realities where matter, energy, force and motion interact in ways that follow the laws of their respective universes.

Human beings do not escape from these laws as we are composed of the same particles that comprise all matter.  It therefore follows that the model for alternate realities described via quantum physics is applicable to human reality.  In other words, each of us exists simultaneously in alternate realities (universes).

How to find Yourself And Live According To Your Life Purpose

There are many times in life that we may come to feel lost.

Our marriage breaks up.  Our career seems boring or meaningless.  Our possessions no longer seem to be of any real value.  Our children grow up.

Sometimes we might feel as if we are an actor on a stage.  That we are a fraud, that we’re just playing a part.

how to find yourself

Or maybe nothing in particular seems amiss.  Our relationships are great, we love our job, enjoy our possessions.  Yet somehow there remains a nagging, seemingly irrational sense of not knowing who we are.

Perhaps our lives are so busy taking care of other things and other people that we forget to take care of ourselves – and in the process lose sense of who we are.

This feeling of not knowing ourselves, of having lost ourselves, usually includes a sensation of being alone – disconnected.

It may appear to us that it is the world we are disconnected from – but truly the connection we have lost is to ourselves.  So the question becomes how to find one’s self.

A Journey of Self Discovery

What we are really talking about here is a journey of self discovery.  As children we were quite aware that life was a journey of self discovery.  Most young children are eager to try new things.  Children also generally perceive themselves to be the center of the universe and everything in the universe is theirs to discover and enjoy.

self discovery

At first, a child is rewarded for their self-centered nature.  Parents delight in every discovery their child makes about themselves and the world around them.  But as we grow up we are most often taught that the idea that the world revolves around us is a selfish notion.  We are not the center of the universe.

As we got older we started to lose our willingness to try new things, find out new things about ourselves.  Our performance was increasingly judged by others the older we got.   We learned the concept of failure.  We learned that people measured us against the performance of others.

As adults most of us have little memory of the childish innocent knowledge that life is meant to be a journey of self discovery.  We can get lost in the idea that life is some sort of contest where the rules are more important than the game.

Reconnecting with Ourselves

find yourself In other words, we can lose ourselves.  We can lose the connection to that sense of self willing to play and learn with utter abandon.  This self is not our “personality” – what we are speaking of here is our sense of “universality” because, in the most pure sense, the universe was indeed created for our own personal voyage of discovery.

Yet the question remains:  how do we find ourselves once we lose our way?  How can we re-connect with the self – the self that was once willing and eager to embark on this profoundly personal journey?

The very physics that created the universe gives us our “how”.  Quantum physics substantiates the notion that, if we grew up in a universe where we lost our sense of self as we grew older; another universe exists where a twin, or doppelganger, self grew up to become an adult who revels in exploring their unique gifts, talents, and skills.  Not only is there one other universe, there is an infinity of other universes where we can find, and connect with, our twin “selves”.

How To Change Your Life To Achieve Abundance

At last count a google search for the terms “how to change your life” brought in 155,000,000 results in 0.13 seconds.

Same search on Amazon:  3,645 books on the subject.

how to change your life

There certainly doesn’t seem to be any shortage on resources when it comes to changing one’s life.  This vast quantity of information also seems to indicate that quite a few of us want to do exactly that – change our lives.

Some of us are very clear as to how we want our lives to change.  We want more money.  We want better relationships.  We want to be more attractive.  We want better control over our emotions.  We want to stop smoking or drinking.  We want to start exercising.

Scanning the titles of these resources we find that they pretty much cover all of the above, so changing our lives shouldn’t be all that difficult.

Things Change All the Time

Plus, we are familiar with change, aren’t we?  After all, things change all the time.  While we may follow similar day-to-day routines, unforeseen circumstances and events often require that we alter our routine.  Most of the time these changes are small.  A meeting is cancelled, we catch a cold.  Sometimes these changes are monumental.  A spouse dies unexpectedly, we lose our job.

However, the most important element when we want to change our lives is that the desire comes from within us.  External events and circumstances may point out why we want to change – but the act of changing comes from within.

How can it be that there are so many resources to instruct us as to how we can change, and many of them are extremely effective, yet we still resist changing our lives?  What is it that keeps us from taking steps to make the kind of change we so very much desire?

Change Alters Our World

chenge teh world Perhaps taking a look at the word “change” might shed some light on the challenge of making positive changes in our lives.

If we want to change our lives it means that we must make our lives different from what they are now.  We need to change what we are used to doing.  What we are used to seeing.  Essentially we are asking ourselves to alter the very world we live in.  Change the world we know into a world we aren’t so sure of.

Our lives may not be what we want them to be.  We may be perfectly aware that we need to change.  But at least we are familiar with things the way they are.

In order to change, we must be willing to take a leap into unknown territory.  Or do we?

What if you who had already changed

Change is actually a choice.  We can decide to change and take the necessary steps to do so – or we can decide to keep the status quo of our lives.  Our perception is that we make one decision or another – not both.  However, quantum physics demonstrates the idea that every time we make a choice, the universe splits.

This means that you have a counterpart in another universe, a parallel universe who is already living the changes you want to make.

Imagine how helpful it would be if you could merge with this doppelganger.  Learn from them.  This is what the techniques of Quantum Jumping can do for you.

How the Brain Works And How To Make It Work When You’re Stuck

Have you ever felt like you just couldn’t think?  Whether having a brain freeze while delivering a presentation at work, or trying to pay bills at the kitchen table with noisy children tearing in and out of the kitchen, we’ve all encountered the frustration of feeling not being able to “think straight”.

However, it really isn’t noisy kids or other distractions in and of themselves that keep us from being able to think – the real culprit is our sense of being frustrated – stuck.

how brain works We get frustrated when unable to fulfill a want or a need.  We want to impress our boss by delivering a slam dunk of a presentation; we need to pay our bills on time.  Whether it is something we want or something we need – both represent something we desire.  And when we desire something there are usually emotions attached to those desires.

When we don’t achieve our desires (wants and needs) it is easy to start to feel stuck.  We start to think that maybe we just weren’t meant to be achievers.  Good things happen to other people – not us.  We’re just stuck with what we’ve got.

While getting frustrated because we can’t quiet our children down or forget what we wanted to say when delivering a presentation are certainly annoying – just little blips on the radar screen of everyday life – sometimes when we examine these tiny annoyances we are disturbed to find that they are just the tip of the iceberg.  In a sense they are a symptom of a disease – and that disease is a generalized sense of being stuck in our lives as a whole.

How We Get Stuck

get stuck Take the case of the children being too noisy and rambunctious while Mom is trying to pay her bills.  Yes, this is annoying and frustrates her ability to concentrate on what she is doing.  Mom expresses her frustration as anger.  At first she asks the children to quiet down, but soon her requests turn into yelling, even berating her children.  Her anger is out of proportion.  Not only can’t she think straight enough to get the bills paid – she can’t think straight enough to respond appropriately to her children.  Later on, she feels awful and berates herself for being such a bad parent.

If this mother carefully examined the source of her sense of frustration and was willing to confront its true source, she is likely to face the fact that she feels stuck with the way things are going in her life in general – and feels paralyzed in her ability to do anything about it.  If only she could think of a way out, what to do.

The hard part for most of us is that we live in a world of emotions yet, at the same time, must apply rational thinking to solve problems, meet our needs, and achieve our goals and desires.  In other words, we must apply our intellect to emotionally charged experiences.

There is a human tendency to “like” or “dislike” to what we experience or when we anticipate what we might experience (for example we like the idea of giving a great presentation, but that like is overwhelmed by the dislike of speaking in public.)  The more we like or don’t like something, the more emotional we get and the less able to use our minds (intellect) to its full potential.

“Intellect” is a pretty interesting phenomenon in that it is something that exists in both the physical world as well as the metaphysical world.  It is something we can touch (our brains) as well as think about (we cannot touch our thoughts).

Using Your Brain to Get Unstuck

The part of our intellect that exists in the physical world is our brain – and our brains function according to physical properties that we can measure.

The scientific and medical communities can measure brain activity.  This activity is measured in waves and these waves are measured in the number of cycles per second.  Brain cycles are further divided into 5 separate types of cycles:

brain waves chart Not surprisingly, Beta has the highest number of cycles per second and Delta the lowest.  When we are “awake” is when our experience registers the most emotion.  Now, we all know that we live in a Beta world.  The Beta world is where we are looking for our goals, dreams, and desires to manifest.  In other words, we want to make them real.

However, it follows that, since Beta is our most emotionally charged state, it is also the state we are most likely to feel frustrated when seeking to achieve those goals and desires.  It might seem logical then that we’d have the greatest access to utilize the greatest potential of our mind when in Theta or Delta – the problem is that we’d be in an unconscious state.  While Delta and Theta certainly have their place when it comes to living a full life by utilizing the power of the unconscious –  what we require is the ability to have access to the greatest potential of our minds while we are conscious (aware).

Learn how to use more of your mind – advice by Burt Goldman

The Alpha state is the best state to access the greatest potential of our minds in that we are conscious, as well as the fact that in the Alpha state we are not only able to think our best because it is also an emotion free state.

It makes sense to pursue learning how to put ourselves into Alpha as a means to get “unstuck” because it is in the Alpha state that emotions cannot cause the paralysis that our emotions can.  When we are in an Alpha state we are better equipped to observe choices available to us with no superfluous “like” or “dislike” attached.

What is even more exciting is that the Alpha state is the perfect brain wave cycle to utilize Quantum Jumping techniques.  Remember that the purpose of Quantum Jumping is to access your “other selves” in parallel universes whose existence physicists have mathematically proved.

Entering the Alpha state most certainly allows us the opportunity to make rational choices that are not negatively impacted by our emotions – however, imagine the power of the opportunity to learn from a self – your self - who has already manifested your goals, dreams, and desires in the conscious, awake Beta world.

How to Love Yourself: A Positive Viewpoint

“You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.” – BuddhaMost everyone has heard the advice that we have to learn to love ourselves before we can love others.

how to love yourself

Embedded into this concept is the notion that there is value in loving ourselves and others.  However before we can bring the value of love into our lives and the lives of others, we must first define our terms.  We must establish a definition of exactly what love is, as well an understanding what is the value of loving ourselves and others.

Many might want to define love as a “feeling”.  However, what we feel when we think we are experiencing love can simply be our body’s physical reaction to the power of desire.  Our heart beats faster when we think of the one we desire – the loss of appetite that can come when we first “fall in love”

Additionally, we can inadvertently identify love for bodily sensations that have nothing to do with love.  Perhaps we most commonly confuse the feelings and sensations when we experience sexual attraction to another person.  Also common is to mistake what is actually fear for love.  This can happen when a child is fearful of a controlling parent who is not easily pleased.  The child confuses the rush of fear of not being able to please the parent with love of the parent – after all the child desires to please the parent. This pattern can often result in a lifetime of thinking that in order to be loveable they must always please others.

Others may want to define love as an emotion but, again, going down this road in the effort to define love we find ourselves once again in the trap of most often only describing the physical sensations, the “feelings” we have when experiencing emotion.  And, again, we can confuse feelings that have their origins outside the realm of love as actually being in love.

Exactly what is the value of love – whether self love or love for others?

love yourself

Burt Goldman, known as “The American Monk” defines love as a “positive view point” and notes that this definition can be applied to anybody, or anything, we might love – even a cheese sandwich.

Goldman explains that love is a matter of degree, making love and hate aspects of each other.  For example, a scale of hate to love from 1 to 100 would start with hate at number one and end with unconditional love at 100.  All the numbers in between measure the extent to which we have a positive view point of a person, a group of people, a thing, or group of things.

Goldman’s definition solves a lot problems for us.  Not only because it provides us with a working definition of love – but his definition also demonstrates that loving ourselves is not, as many might think, a form of conceit.  When we accept Goldman’s definition of love, it becomes apparent that a key factor within that definition is not only having a viewpoint, but a positive viewpoint.

Being present in the moment is essential to loving yourself. Watch this video where Burt explains how to be present

YouTube Preview Image

When we have a positive viewpoint of ourselves it is not a conceit.  A conceit, or to “be conceited”, means our viewpoint of ourselves is that we are better than, or superior to, others.  A conceit separates us from others.  You might think of a conceit as having a negative charge.  Just as a negative side of a magnet repels the positive side of another magnate, a conceit pushes us away from others.

On the other hand, a positive view of ourselves is just that – a positive way of viewing ourselves.  Seeing ourselves in a positive light does not require us to measure ourselves as above or below another.

Therefore it follows that indeed, we must first love ourselves before we can truly love another.  It is only when we learn to love ourselves without viewing ourselves as above or below others that we are able to love others.  Without the negative charge of conceit love is a matter of degree and a force that connects, rather than repels, us from others.

This is the value love – a positive viewpoint of ourselves and others – brings into our world.  Yet all too often our world seems lacking in love.  That child who feared rather than loved their parent may not ever come to see how they can see themselves in a positive light.  Intolerance, greed, and lust for power continue to mar our world with war and suffering as they have for eons – making it seem impossible to create a positive, loving world.

People Can Learn to Love Themselves

love yourself tipsBut people can learn how to love themselves.  The certainties of mathematics tell us  that parallel universes exist.  Physics tell us that particles can exist in more than one place at one time – meaning that the child who is made up of particles and who grew up in one world with a controlling, narcissistic parent also has a twin self or doppelganger in another universe who can help teach them how to love themselves.  This doppelganger’s parents had a loving, positive view of their child who then grew up able to love themselves and others.

Our world can be more loving.  Where gangs have developed in American cities as a response to intolerance and racism, there are American cities in other universes where people live in harmony.

Tapping into these dimensions in order to learn and experience yourself and the world from a positive view point is what Quantum Jumping is all about.

Self Confidence: How to be self confident here and now

The curtains open and immediately the gentle buzz of the audience goes silent only to burst into spontaneous and enthusiastic applause as the virtuoso walks onto the stage, bows, and flips the tails of his tuxedo before taking his seat at the piano.

self confidence He begins to play, and the complex melody seems to stream effortlessly from his hands as his fingers dance across the keyboard…you take the music in and wonder why you ever stopped playing yourself…

Another second Monday of the month means another meeting of the board.  You’ve taken your seat at the back of the room, a respectful distance from the very large, shining, and expensive mahogany table – careful not to interrupt the murmured conversations between board members as they take their seats.

At the head of the table sits your exquisitely dressed CEO, all powerful in her navy blue suit, every hair in place, deep in her own conversation with the board treasurer.  You know she is well prepared to give her report to the board – you prepared it.

The meeting is called to order, roll taken, and the chairman asks for the CEO’s report.  You sit there silently taking notes, frustrated because you know it could be you standing at the head of that table if only…

Bottom of the ninth and the pitcher takes the mound.  The camera closes in as the catcher walks up to confer – you marvel at how calmly catcher and pitcher talk about which pitches to use in order to win the World Series.

The catcher returns to home plate, the pitcher takes a quick look around the bases.  He winds up, and then let’s go a pitch so fast it seems to disappear into thin air.  When you hear the umpire shout “Stee-rike” you wonder why you never went out for high school ball…

Each person questioning why they are watching someone else do something they feel – or even know – they are good at in these examples are asking questions most of us have asked ourselves many times in similar circumstances,

“What do they have that I don’t have?”

being self confident

Just what is it that keeps so many of us from achieving goals, living up to our potential, or even simply doing things we enjoy?  What is it that we lack?

A great majority of the time it is not lack of talent, skill, ability, or desire – what we lack is the self-confidence to express our talents, skills, or abilities.  We don’t have the self-confidence to pursue our dreams and desires.

But what exactly is self-confidence?  More important, how do you get it if you don’t have it?

Many people might define self confidence as “believing in yourself” and, to a certain extent, this is true.  However, self-confidence is essentially an attitude.  People who are confident in themselves view themselves in a positive light.  Self-confidence allows one to have a deep faith in themselves and their ability to do what they want to do, achieve what they want to achieve.  Self-confidence is what allows people to continue to work towards their goals and desires even when they experience set-backs.  Self-confident people do not allow their present circumstances to define who they are or what they are capable of.

It is an attitude of self-confidence that turns set-backs into learning opportunities and lets less-than optimal circumstances serve to increase the determination and resolve to achieve our goals, dreams, and desires.

How is it that some people are more confident than others?

Some might think that self-confidence is something you are born with, an inborn quality of your personality.  You either have it, or you don’t.  Others might say that self-confidence is something learned from others.

Many parents can attest to the fact that they love all their children and make every effort to show their children the same level of respect, care, as well as provide them with the same quality of opportunities – yet one child will display more self-confidence than another.  Quite often this will be attributed to differences in their respective personalities.

It is also quite common to hear stories about individuals who experienced extreme challenges and difficulties – and these stories don’t all have happy endings.  For instance, take two people with similar stories of extreme physical and mental abuse as children.  One child grows into an adult facing prosecution for child abuse, another becomes a pediatrician.

Societal, cultural, and religious norms and expectations also affect people differently.  Someone brought up in an extremely conservative religious home may come to see themselves as sinful and unworthy of achieving their dreams or meeting their goals.  Another’s attitude of self-confidence is tempered by a sense of gratitude for, and responsibility to use, any and all of the opportunities and gifts, no matter how small, their concept of God brings to their lives.

more self-confident

If people can share the same or similar circumstances and yet one has a high-level of self-confidence and another very little self-confidence OR,

If self-confidence is some sort of personality characteristic we are born with, it stands to reason that one just must move forward in life with whatever level, no matter how minimal, of self-confidence they are stuck with.

However, we must remember a couple of things.  First, self-confidence is an attitude and it would be very difficult to find someone who has never experienced a change in their attitude towards something.

Second, there is a common denominator that is almost always overlooked when it comes to improving one’s level of self-confidence:  choice.

Let’s take the example of a child who is abandoned by their father as a child.  One grows up into a self-confident adult and is most often happy with their life.  The other child has little self-confidence and is frustrated with his lot in life.  This situation doesn’t appear to offer the child a choice – but it does.  Each child had to choose between two fundamental attitudes towards being abandoned by their father:

There is something about me that made my father leave me” OR, ”There is something about my father that made him leave me

It is easy to see how a child choosing to believe the first scenario could grow up with a low sense of self-confidence because their attitude towards themselves is that there is something wrong with them.  On the other hand, a child who chooses the attitude that their father’s absence is about their father and not something they caused has a greater chance of developing a high level of self-confidence in their own worth and abilities.

In this example we assume that being abandoned by a parent is something that happened to two separate individuals who made separate choices.

However, for a moment, consider this child who is abandoned by their father.  That child chooses between the two fundamental attitudes towards being left.  Unfortunately, that child decides he was abandoned because he was not good enough, that there was something wrong with him.  This impacts him well into adulthood.  He does not fare well in his career as he has little self-confidence.  His relationships fail because he has little self-confidence.  He does not pursue his dreams because he has little self-confidence.

He feels frustrated.  He feels stuck.   He tries to change his attitude and works hard, trying many methods for “self-improvement” with minimal success.

What he does not know is that he has a twin self who decided that his father’s leaving had nothing to do with him.  That twin grew up with a high level of self-confidence in his abilities and successfully pursued his goals and dreams.

That twin self lives in a parallel universe.  Sound crazy?  Not if you take quantum physics into consideration.

How to be self-confident here and now

self confidence

Well-respected quantum physicists have discovered mathematical evidence for the existence of parallel, or “bubble” universes.  Additionally, physicists have demonstrated that particles exist in more than one place at one time.  Universes split whenever the opportunity for two or more things to happen exists.  The star explodes, or the star does not explode.  In one universe the star explodes, in another universe it does not.

We are made of particles which means we can exist in different places at the same time because even humans must obey the laws of physics.  Whenever we make a choice, that choice becomes the “resource foundation” for another universe to be created.

However, those of us with little self-confidence are not stuck.  There exists “another you” living in another universe who made different choices allowing you to lead a self-directed and self-confident life.

Unfortunately, most human beings don’t know how to tune into that parallel universe where we self-confidently work towards achieving our goals and see our dreams come true.  This is where the principles and techniques of quantum jumping come in.  Quantum jumping methods and techniques allow us to tap into the “success dimensions” of other universes.

Get unstuck.  Achieve your goals.  Live up to your potential.  There is another you in another universe already doing these things – quantum jumping brings those qualities into your life here and now.

How To Manifest What You Want

So what is manifestation, and how can you use it in life? Basically, manifestation is the art of making things that you desire materialize. Much connected to the Law of Abundance, manifestation occurs when you place a desire, goal or wish and focus on it on a daily basis, until it eventually becomes real – or manifests itself.

What Can You Use Manifestation For?

You can use manifestation for basically anything! Because manifestation involves thinking of and materializing your intentions, you can indeed manifest or make material anything that you desire – be it internal such as physical or emotional health or external such as health, wealth family, relationships, school and work success. You can practice techniques that you can use in order to enhance your life and achieve your intentions, whether it be for yourself or even for others.

what is manifestation

Using Qi Gong for Manifestation

One way to manifest things is to make use of Qi Gong, which you can use for yourself, or with the presence of someone else. As a form of energy manipulation, Qi Gong is an excellent way to thrust energy to those who need it (or for yourself).

multiple universes

Aside from thrusting energy to yourself or to someone else who is the recipient of your intention, you can also make use of a easy-to-do water technique which you can use to heal or manifest other things in your life. All you need to do is take a glass of water and hold it and think of your intention. As you hold the glass of water, you continue to think of your intention and channel it into the water. After that, you can either drink the water, or sprinkle it around you or on the person or thing which is the object of your intention.

Other Methods For Manifestation

Qi gong is not just the only method to manifest things.  Since manifestation is not a practice itself, but is just the act of making the things that you desire materialize – there are indeed other practices that you can use to make other things manifest. Some people meditate regularly, some people do other exercise such as affirmations and follow the Law of Attraction. There are different techniques that you can choose from for this.

Does It Really Work?

It’s important to note that techniques for manifestation are not “magic tricks” which are expected to work right away. It may work for some other people – and it may not work for others. For some, it may take more time or more effort for their intentions to manifest. Of course, it is also important that you continue with your efforts because if you do not see any changes during your first try – it does not mean that it won’t work eventually. What is important is that you learn to believe and erase your doubts first – because good things will never manifest if you continuously doubt yourself and if you doubt your ability to be able to make things manifest.

Multiple Universes and Quantum Jumping: How To Enhance Your Life

There are plenty of talks about multiple universes – but do they really exist? And if they do, what are they for, and how can you make use of it to completely succeed in life?

What Are Multiple Universes?

Multiple universes, which are also known as parallel universes, were first come up with by the physicist Alan Guth, in his Theory of Parallel Universes. First contested by many scientists, the theory states that when the universe first began, it initially had a negative or reverse type of gravitational pull that repelled everything from it, creating a false vacuum. That false vacuum eventually started to decay, creating particles that would then form our universe – and the existence of many other universes.

multiple universes Quantum Jumping To Connect To Multiple Universes

While there are plenty of ideas behind multiple universes, proponents hold a universal belief and that is the idea that one individual can exist in more than one place – right at the same time. This means that we might also have “other selves” that exist in other universes, whom we can meet and learn from.

Multiple universes are useful if we can learn how to jump back from one reality to another – and we can pass on pass knowledge, intelligence and learning from different experiences from our One Self to our Other Selves. Once this happens, this could be extremely powerful and can indeed help enhance and improve our lives.

To jump from one universe to another, you can try Quantum Jumping, which is a technique discovered by Burt Goldman. Now 83 years old, Burt has spent most of his life perfecting the technique of Quantum Jumping. Although it has been developed for a long time, Burt never made the idea available to the public, because of the fear of what other people might think. In 2009, though, he eventually decided to make the information available, and hundreds of thousands of people have benefitted and now swear by quantum jumping and the success brought about by travelling from one universe to another.

Benefits To Connecting With Multiple Universes

Connecting with other dimensions can open up limitless possibilities for self improvement. Because you get to meet alternate versions of yourself, the door for enhancement and learning is completely limitless. Through quantum jumping and travelling to multiple universes, you can:

  • Boost your mind’s capacity for problem-solving and creative thinking.
  • Improve your mindset for wealth, allowing you to save  and invest money properly.
  • Learn to control the pattern of your thoughts, replace negative thoughts and eliminate bad habits that you have.
  • Learn and pick u new skills easily and improve existing skills easily.
  • Improve your intuition, allowing you to easily decide on things better.
  • Understand your past and your present and learn from it.
  • Improve relationships with the people close to you.
  • Excel in different aspects of your life.

The possibility of things that you can do due to quantum jumping and connecting with multiple universes is indeed endless. All you have to do is learn how to do it – and the rest comes in easy. Parallel Worlds: Theory and Existence of Parallel Worlds

Should You Turn Right or Left?

Ever wonder what would have happened if you’d made a different decision about something?  It doesn’t even have to be some huge, momentous decision like getting married or choosing a profession.  Could your life have been – or be now, different based on something as simple as deciding whether to go left or to go right?

Let’s take that thought a little bit further.  What if someone told you that thinking that decisions are limited to only one choice – “this or that” – isn’t the case?

You might think that this “someone” was some kind of nut.  Actually, there is a good opportunity that you’d be having a conversation with a Quantum Physicist.

parallel universesThe theory of parallel (or multiple) universes was first proposed by a physicist named Dr. Alan Guth.  But Guth’s work was influenced by previous and concurrent discoveries and theories of other physicists.

Physicists had been trying to pinpoint the exact location of an atomic particle.  That may sound like a difficult thing to do, and it is certainly complex – but the goal isn’t that much different than trying to pinpoint the exact location of your car in the mall parking lot.

Except they couldn’t do it.  When the scientists tried to discover the exact coordinates of the particles’ location they found something very strange – they discovered that atomic particles have the ability to exist simultaneously in more than one place at the same time.

Remember looking for your car in the parking lot?  You can’t remember where it was because you kept deciding whether or not to take a space up in the front, or maybe one in the in the back.  And then you decided against what you thought would be a good spot because the car next to you had so many dings you figured they might hit you on their way out.

What if in the process of trying to find your car after parking it, you just kept finding it over and over again in different parking spaces, but at the same time?  At first you think that maybe they aren’t all yours.  Maybe they’re just the same model, but all belong to different people.  So you start to examine the cars more carefully and find something to be really strange.

They are all indeed your car, but they are all slightly different.  For instance, you observe that in one car you left your phone on the seat even though that same phone is in your hand at the very moment you are looking into your car.  One of your car’s interiors is pristine, while another still has the MacDonald’s bag from yesterday’s lunch on the dash.

This is basically what happened to the scientists trying to pinpoint the location of particles.  Particles not only existed simultaneously in one place, but they differed in some way from each other, but were still recognizable in some way as the same particle.

What’s Going On?

Different – and yet the same – at the same time.  Mind boggling for sure.  But physicists being physicists kept working to try and understand what was going on.

Physicist Werner Heisenberg’s research indicated that just the simple act of observing a particle affects its behavior.  Not surprisingly, this is called the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle.  Physicist Niels Bohr’s research seemed to indicate that Heisenberg was not only right but, because of this Uncertainty Principle, particles exist in all possible states of being at once.  This is called the Copenhagen Interpretation (Dr. Bohr is Danish.)

But physicist Alan Guth was the first person, outside of science fiction writers, to suggest the idea of parallel universes.  And he did not pluck this theory out of his imagination.  You might say he plucked it out of the starry night sky.  Interested in discovering the origin of the universe (this one, the one we appear to be living in) Guth agreed with other scientists that it was the result of what’s come to be called “The Big Bang”.  But Guth’s research went against the commonly accepted (at least by physicists) notion that instead of gravity keeping things together and forming this one universe, there was a sort of “reverse gravity” that began to pull things apart.

Since we know that our universe is expanding Guth’s idea seems definitely plausible.  But Guth postulates that this reverse gravity – or “false vacuum” – formed not only the “bubble” of particles that became our universe, but that when this false vacuum started to decay it produced limitless numbers of particles that, in turn, formed a limitless number of bubbles – and therefore a limitless number of universes.

Many Worlds

OK – so we’ve got tons of universes out there – what does that have to do with you?

Good question, and it brings us to Hugh Everett and his Many Worlds Interpretation.  Dr. Everett’s work suggests that, when a particle is observed, say you try to measure it – it actually splits into more than one reality.  A separate reality to accommodate every possible measurement.  Easy to understand how Everett’s theory came to be called the Many Worlds Interpretation.

But let’s get back to you.parallel worlds

So far we’ve been talking just about atomic particles.  Little tiny things – and it just so happens that all matter, including you, is composed of these little tiny things.  Which means, of course, that Everett’s Many Worlds Interpretation applies to you just as much as it does to an atomic particle.

This means that a separate world exists to accommodate any possible outcome for every decision or life experience you have.  For instance, if you almost died on the operating table, in an alternate, or parallel, universe you’re dead.  If you got pregnant and had to quit college to help support your family, in another universe you’ve got your Ph.D.  And a decision as small as whether to go left or to go right could have determined the outcome of whether you got pregnant in the first place.  Turn left and bump into your future mate.  Turn right and just keep walking.

We think of ourselves as a singular being – there is just one “You”.  The math and science of physics seems to indicate not just one, but an infinite number of you(s).

Which begs a question.  A big question, with huge implications.

If there exists an infinite number of you(s) because the universe splits with every decision and experience you have, it would seem that, on the one hand, an outcome of that would be a limitless number of separate states of consciousness who are not aware of and cannot communicate with each other.  At the same time, an equally possible outcome, is that there is, on some level, in some world, one state of consciousness that is aware of and can communicate with all the other you(s).

If you could communicate with that one state of consciousness that is aware of all the infinite number of you(s) it seems that a possible outcome (and therefore one with its own universe) would be the ability to incorporate and employ characteristics of those separate, infinite you(s) we desire but do not seem to be capable of expressing in the universe in which find ourselves.

Now, wouldn’t that be something.  But rather than wait to have this proved by yet another physicist – maybe a more effective way to live would be to assume we can access the energy, talents, and skills of all our infinite you(s) and let this assumption mediate the means to achieve what we only think of as the unachievable.
