At last count a google search for the terms “how to change your life” brought in 155,000,000 results in 0.13 seconds.
Same search on Amazon: 3,645 books on the subject.

There certainly doesn’t seem to be any shortage on resources when it comes to changing one’s life. This vast quantity of information also seems to indicate that quite a few of us want to do exactly that – change our lives.
Some of us are very clear as to how we want our lives to change. We want more money. We want better relationships. We want to be more attractive. We want better control over our emotions. We want to stop smoking or drinking. We want to start exercising.
Scanning the titles of these resources we find that they pretty much cover all of the above, so changing our lives shouldn’t be all that difficult.
Things Change All the Time
Plus, we are familiar with change, aren’t we? After all, things change all the time. While we may follow similar day-to-day routines, unforeseen circumstances and events often require that we alter our routine. Most of the time these changes are small. A meeting is cancelled, we catch a cold. Sometimes these changes are monumental. A spouse dies unexpectedly, we lose our job.
However, the most important element when we want to change our lives is that the desire comes from within us. External events and circumstances may point out why we want to change – but the act of changing comes from within.
How can it be that there are so many resources to instruct us as to how we can change, and many of them are extremely effective, yet we still resist changing our lives? What is it that keeps us from taking steps to make the kind of change we so very much desire?
Change Alters Our World
Perhaps taking a look at the word “change” might shed some light on the challenge of making positive changes in our lives.
If we want to change our lives it means that we must make our lives different from what they are now. We need to change what we are used to doing. What we are used to seeing. Essentially we are asking ourselves to alter the very world we live in. Change the world we know into a world we aren’t so sure of.
Our lives may not be what we want them to be. We may be perfectly aware that we need to change. But at least we are familiar with things the way they are.
In order to change, we must be willing to take a leap into unknown territory. Or do we?
What if you who had already changed?
Change is actually a choice. We can decide to change and take the necessary steps to do so – or we can decide to keep the status quo of our lives. Our perception is that we make one decision or another – not both. However, quantum physics demonstrates the idea that every time we make a choice, the universe splits.
This means that you have a counterpart in another universe, a parallel universe who is already living the changes you want to make.
